I realize it is what it is, but getting 100-200 people to drop $200 for a pair in the time it took to sell out seems a lot more reasonable to me than 1,000. The word had to spread, get posted in multiple places, have people see the thread, make the move to purchase, and pull the trigger on the sale.
The rant is as busy a board as any and only has 2000 people on most of the time.
That being said, still a mistake not having the geographic restriction for Alabama in place.

What happens is people buy as many as they can for as cheap as possible, then sell them. Not saying I agree with that, but it does happen. And normally to fans of their school.
