I indulged and tried to come up with a solid roster for OM. It has a lot lf our freshmen on it based on this year's performance and future potential. I struggled on OL. You guys got any refinement?
QB: Eli Manning
RB: Deuce McAllister/Dexter McCluster
FB: Charles Stackhouse
WR: Mike Wallace
WR: Donte Moncrief
WR: Laquon Treadwell
TE: Rufus French
LT: Michael Oher
LG: Terrance Metcalf
C: Chris Spencer
RG: Todd Wade
RT: Laremy Tunsil
DE: Greg Hardy
DT: Peria Jerry
DT: Robert Nkemdiche
DE: Derrick Burgess
LB: Patrick Willis
LB: Eddie Strong
LB: Denzel Nkemdiche
CB: Ken Lucas
CB: Syniker Taylor
S: Kendrick Lewis
S: Tony Conner
K: Johnathan Nichols (Get off his nuts.)
P: Tyler Campbell
That looks like a team that could hang with any team you put them against, IMO.
And I just realized I don't have a TE. Any suggestions? I can't think of a standout TE we've had so I'd probably just stick Engram in there.
Or, was Rufus French on the team in '98 or was '97 his last year? :toolazytogoogle:
ETA - Googled it. '98 was his last year so I'd go with him.
Also, this list has a 15 year cutoff.

No. The only WR that had any shot with the Pros was Tay Biddle before he got shot in the leg. The WRs are correct.

Hell yeah he would be much better.
I just did this off the top of my head in about 5 mins. That's why I asked for refinement. :D

I loved mike espy, but idk I feel like a true freshman shouldn't be on their yet. Definitely by the end of his career and I'm pretty sure espy played for the redskins.

Are we basing this on productivity or physical talent?
Collins or Espy put up numbers but benefited from playing with Eli.
Hell, Eli single-handedly almost got us to ATL... had zero NFL talent at the skill positions around him.

I like Prewitt over Lewis for safety. Maybe I'm just not remembering Lewis that well.

This is very true that Eli helped them out tremendously.

Lewis was a beast. Rishaw Johnson is in the NFL but did he ever actually play at Ole Miss? I know he was on the team but was kicked off.

I love Prewitt but doubt he plays safety at the next level, whereas Lewis has proven to be very good. Prewitt is excelling as an out of position LB, IMO.

Derrick Burgess deserves to be on the list too. Multiple pro bowler

that's who I've been trying to think about. He was mean as shite. Always painted a white skull on his face for games and use to tell opposing linemen that he was going to eat their family members.

Replaced CJ.
My memory of players from pre-2003 are fuzzy. I wasn't nearly as into football before then as I am now.
