I tend to agree. His lack of scrambling/unpredictability this year has made it much easier on opposing defenses to defend against the pass. They didn't even need a spy on Saturday.

Really? I couldn't really get a good view. I noticed them in that 3-2-6 they switched too last year, and when they broke through our offensive line really maintaining gap integrity, but I didn't notice the lack of a spy. That is very interesting.

Another talking point with my teasip buddy was the tight end. I expressed frustration with our lack of a tight end simply because the of the mismatch possibilities. I know we supplement what a tight end brings to the game with multiple slot receivers, and you wonder what we try to do to exploit the defense over the middle of the field when the defense goes in to a spy, or how that extra hesitation for a linebacker spying could help us in the run game on a zone read play. I mean you can't deny that Manziel's passing numbers(outside of the redzone) are better this year, so what are you left with? Is there a disconnect with what was successful last year, or is this simple the way football go(Ron Washington voice)?

we have a defense ranked in the triple digits, and we have a chance to go 9-3 in the fricking SEC west with two of our losses by a combined 11 points to teams ranked in the top 5. i think that in itself is insane
