Just got the Bleacher Report's notification. Franklin is the official starter for the game Saturday.

How do you all think James himself, and the team as a whole do?

If Franklin is going to be 100% and play as well as he was at the start of the year I think it is the right move. Ole Miss' scares me a little. They are a hungry team and Wallace is a QB who can give us trouble. He is mobile and mobile QBs give our defense fits. But I have faith in Franklin and the offense.

I haven't watched a ton of OM this year, but the little bit I've watched, my impression was that Wallace was more of a gamer than a QB. Guy finds a way to get things done.

That's my impression too. Talent is OK but nothing to write home about. It's his attitude, and his way of getting results that makes him dangerous.

A spot on assessment of Bro ... this also gets him into trouble as well because he will sometimes try to force the issue to make a play.

Really? I think we've done pretty well against mobile QBs. Shaw beat us with the screen pass to Mike Davis. We held him to 51 yards rushing (2.1YPC), but he had 99 receiving yards (9.9YPC). Connor Shaw didn't beat us with his legs, he did it with his head.

Every other game we've won by 15+ points, so I don't really care if a mobile QB gets yards.

Bro can run ... but he isn't going to beat anyone with his legs.

All it does is extend the drives at times. Do not be worried about Bro running on y'all though.

Flip it around and it seems mobile QB's may have some success against OM. Granted, they're 2 damn good ones, but both Aub and A&M had great success with their QB's running the ball.

Yeah and that is something that scares us about Franklin starting for this game.

Marshall ate us alive but we did just lose our starting DE and weren't adjusted yet to be in that situation.

JFF did have good runs on us but I wouldn't say he ran all over us either. There were many times that we were after him and any other normal human being might have been sacked instead.

But as stated if you have a healthy Franklin then he will pose a serious threat for our D.

When he's healthy, Franklin is a beast. Here's some vintage James Franklin...

And I hope mizzou1 is right, that we're the hungrier team.

Yes. It will. If this were being played in Columbia, I'd feel much different. As it is, I think it'll be a good game, and I think we are a slight favorite - like a field goal or less.

Every Ole Miss fan I've met IRL was very nice, not delusional like a lot of fans, enjoyed a good time and didn't take it all too seriously. I like Ole Miss fans (except the rant idiots.)

How's your secondary, btw?

Mizzou is actually favored by 3, which is a bit shocking as we are almost never favored.

Another coin flip game...I hope the coin flips to Mizzou's side

Vastly improved from what we thought at the beginning of the year. They managed to hold OBJ and Evans in check and the only guy that's really burn us was Matthews in week 1. They aren't the liability they use to and all the credit in the world goes to Jason Jones for how he's turned them around.

That being said, they are small DBs and if there's a jump ball situation we are at an extreme disadvantage.

Well besides Derrick Jones(6'3") who we started against Evans because of injuries and he has shown that he can play.

Our receiver height is a huge advantage. And, although I will admit a little bias, there is just something pretty to watch in a healthy Franklin playing ball.

What is going to make the difference -- a huge monstrous difference in the game is our defense against OM's OL. Sam and Ealy will spend more time sitting with the quarterback than his mother did while he grew up. OM has a problem giving up sacks, And out defense is addicted to making them. No quarterback can play well when he doesn't have time and takes a lot of sacks.

the right side of the line surely does. The left side is pretty lockdown.

We've got some pretty big receivers as well. Nobody DGB size but Moncrief is 6'3 230 and Treadwell is 6'3 210. Sanders is long but lanky and pretty much everybody else is just average height.

What is Mizzou's secondary like? I have only seen y'all play 1 qtr of football (USCe, sorry) so I don't know much about y'alls team.
