I am heading down for the Mizzou-Ole Miss game next weekend and ready for a full day of the supposed Holy Grail of tailgating.
I've got several services willing to set up a tent, chairs, etc. for me.

What's the best part of The Grove to do this?

Next to The Alumni House
Across from Lamar Bldg (the old law school)
corner of red & blue lane
Near Walk of Champions

Make sure whoever you hire dosen't get a late start on your spot and remove any tents that aren't yours

This. We set up last year, came back the next morning and found that a tent company had moved our tents two spaces over. We took their tents down, moved our tents back and threw all of their supplies in a pile.

The guy, who I assume owned the tent, called and tore whoever set their stuff up a new a-hole.

Walk of Champions is where I was two years ago. It's pretty meh, but if you're down for people walking that little trail gets a lot of traffic.

Can a place be considered a holy grail of tailgating while not allowing alcohol? I think no.

It's the holy grail of loafers, ray bans, and colorful pants.

And no open flame. I reject the premise. What happens at the Grove shouldn't qualify as tailgating.

10 acres. Maybe 50,000 people. A grill could do damage.

Number 2 tailgating in the country, according to ESPN.

Sports Illustrated ranks it Number 1.

But what do they know?

Well the fact that there's about 50,000 people in a heavily wooded area, hundreds of open flames could do damage. But lets just not consider that.

Cook your food and bring it to the tailgate like a civilized person.

Doesn't give you some sort of exemption. Tailgating with grills is so much better.

Probably by some stop in journalist that stopped by the tailgating for 20 minutes.

It's a smart rule, but it makes the tailgating not as fun. Tailgating with grills is better than tailgating without them.

How so? The only thing it adds is a charcoal smell and smoke.

As a civilized person, I've come to understand that a tailgate involves drinking alcohol and cooking food. They are literally the two main ingredients in the definition of tailgating.

The greatest smell in all of the entire world. A smell only a man can appreciate. Are you not a real man?

And it makes the assortment of food 20 times better.
