Stanford proves that you can be a top shelf academic institution and still be a top shelf football team.
If I were a Tech fan, I'd want Paul Johnson fired.
The gimmick offense worked at the beginning, but then the ACC competition began prepping for it, as has your in-state rival, and it hasn't worked.
Many Johnson apologists blame the defense, if only the defense could turn a corner, Georgia Tech would be great. The problem is that your defense will never be great with that offensive system because the team is always playing from behind, which always puts your defense at a distinct disadvantage.
Other Johnson apologists say they just need the right quarterback.
Meanwhile, Clemson and FSU and Miami and Virginia Tech keep getting better.
And UGA keeps whipping your arse.
What will it take for Tech to finally get rid of Paul Johnson and hire a guy who will build a team and identity like Stanford? Yall could be the Stanford of the South if you wanted to.

They've beaten Tech 4 years in a row.
They have the 8th best scoring defense in the country.
Despite their decline, the are better than Tech.

But Tech hasn't played Bama like VT has, and VT still has the higher rated defense, and also beat you and Paul Johnson's A-Game Offense.

Yes, I watched all of GT's videos from the series you posted a few of, I watched all of them on youtube, the walkons, etc. Very well done.
Video production is much better than Paul Johnson production.
Recruiting is what I'm talking about.
With Johnson's scheme, recruiting is much more complicated at every position.
Stanford doesn't seem to have a problem recruiting dominant LOS guys to play good old fashioned football and play primetime games and still graduate half their players with law degrees, all of whom pass the bar.

tech is stupid as frick for continuing to run that high school offense. When they had an actual, competent coach in Fridgen, and even gailey, tech was pretty formidable. Even in the 90s when we ran off 7 straight with goff/donnan, tech always scared me. CPJ doesn't scare anyone.
Similar to UGA basketball sitting on a fricking hotbed, if tech would just get the right coach they could be a top 20 program year in and year out. But as long as they have Johnson they won't be.

There are other academic intitutions that recruit just fine. Paul Johnson has also been fairly disrespectful to kids that change their mind or on the fence about commiting to Tech. Basically if recruiting is your excuse he better improve his recruiting perhaps????

Paul Johnson's recruiting grade is better every year.. don't look now but we might have a top 25 class on our hands(once every 50 years at Tech) & Paul Johnson nor his team ever give up.. it's chemistry.. Soon we'll be throwing 5th year seniors at you year after year .. Stanford does not own a secret formula.

Tech fans have "Disneys" too. But, since they're nerds.......they're called "Epcots".
Christopher is a bigger Epcot than even The Firewind is a Disney.
