If Les needs to use 'bulletin board material' to get his team up for this game, then LSU is in trouble.

I think it can be taken that way. If I were LSU I would definitely use it as locker room fodder. However, I was reading it based on your title and it didn't make sense. Disrespectful? maybe. Locker room material? definitely Overlooking LSU? No

There's no such thing as bulletin board material. It's a fan/media myth that makes for good sports radio and internet arguing.
