But you know...as long as I played football, I never heard a coach pray for a win. I HAVE heard coaches, or players pray that both teams display good character and ask God to protect both teams from injury.
I played for one of the biggest Christian coaches in the state (Georgia) in high school. He is also considered one of the most successful, and won more games at a certain age than any other coach.
Won several national Championships (USA Today) and multiple state championships. Unfortunately he died at a relatively young age of a heart attack. But he lived his faith. I remember one kid got kicked out of his house by an alcoholic father and the coach took him into his home to live.
