Rivalry might be strong on the field but I really dont know if it tops Michigan-Ohio St...
I know how rough it is because I know a lot of people who are Ohio St. fans. That game makes or breaks their season. For Alabama, any type of loss breaks their season, doesnt matter who it is against.
My friends dad locked out one of my other friends because he said he was rooting for michigan. (He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and it was snowing outside

Lived in the midwest for a few years, and I can tell you OSU-Michigan is every bit as vinegary as any rivalry out there. BUT -- it's far more globally-spanned, there's tons more money (bankers vs doctors) and reps involved, and, frankly, they're a much better educated bunch than, say, Auburn-Bama (whose fanbases are more or less relegated to the southeastern US; welders vs bus drivers).
