Now now no need whatsoever to question Missy's intelligence, creativity or all around awesomeness.

One of the little rock stations was advertising an upcoming bit they're doing on two dudes from Pine Bluff that were doing work to turn their hometown around. (Added just to give wmr the heebie jeebies.)

Thanks, piggi. You're awesome, too.

It's ok, though. I don't sweat the youngsters' comments on this silly subject. I'm pretty comfortable with my level of intelligence as well as my ability to be a snotty, condescending bitch when necessary.

I do find the big city vs. small town argument rather odd considering that in the state of Arkansas, if one is not from Little Rock, proper, he is most definitely not from a big city, and so what? Maybe the juniors will learn as they mature that it is not where one originates that is important; rather it is what one accomplishes while striving to remain a decent human being that is. I, for one, am very happy that I was raised in a small town where values, morals, a good work ethic, and sense of community were instilled in all from a very young age. I believe those small town fundamentals kept me grounded as a young adult when I went to college, then moved on to true "big cities."
Anyway, this "argument," particularly when applied to Arkansas, is ridiculous, and a waste of energy, imo, so that's all I'm going to say about the subject since I'm on my way to New Orleans today and am already running late. (I believe that's considered a rather big city by most standards.)

Oh, but one more thing to Stonehog and Dale pertaining to their indoor plumbing comments. One of my family's homes in Mississippi does have a few functioning outhouses, preserved for historical reasons. They are really quite interesting and quaint, like stepping back in time, but my family in south Arky opted for indoor plumbing, copper pipes and everything, when I was growing up there. And, Dale, I don't know about the rest of the region of southern Arkansas, but growing up, my area did not rely on shite from NWA, or anywhere else, for that matter, considering my hometown was the location for one of the largest manufacturing complexes of its kind in the world for over a half of a century, and employed several thousand people from across the region. We did our part for the state's economy. My grandfather was the general manager of that complex for many years, so I was fortunate (or not) to get to hear the inside scoop on the matter, ad nauseum, at countless family gatherings at the dinner table or sitting on the front porch.

Anyway, y'all have a good day and try not to argue over non-productive issues so much. Maybe concentrate your energy on sending good vibes to the Hogs in their effort to get a victory over Auburn this week. That's the one game we MUST win, imo, mainly because I hate, truly hate, them.

GO HOGS & WPS!!!
