What does Nick Saban do that is so different from other coaches? It's everything. Starts with recruiting, gets the best players. But then, he develops the talent to it's max. 4/5 stars come to Alabama and then play like it, they get better every game and every season. Discipline is also key, both on the field and off. And he's a workaholic and perfectionist when it comes to preparation. Nobody has ever outworked Saban and his coaching staff ever. He also runs a rock solid style of offense and defense, it's highly stable and productive (ie not reliant on gimmicks or crazy personal). It's a hard combo to beat. To beat Alabama a team needs to play absolutely lights out and have Alabama make a ton of mistakes. If those two things don't happen you're gonna lose and usually lose badly.
