Yes, they are doing well. That's irrelevant.

We're talking about the job. Focus on the job. What does a coach have to do at Oregon to keep the program successful?

Eugene, Oregon is a loooooooooooong way from SoCal. Still sucks for those coaches to recruit, even flying in Phil's jets.

For contrast, see: Texas. It *looks* big, but it really isn't. A box drawn from Houston, up 59 to Longview, over on 20 to DFW, down 35 to Austin and then SA, then back east to Houston on I-10 would contain or connect 80% of the state's population. East of 59 is a jungle, west of 35 is the desert, the panhandle is Kansas, and south of I-10 is scrub brush Mexicoland. All you have to recruit is that box, which is, eh, roughly the size of Louisiana.
