Is it Money? Is it recruiting? Is it our history?

Where do people come up with some of the excuses for our, at this point, horrible play on the field?
I hear the lack of pay, recruiting isn't up to par, and our history on a regular basis. BS. PERIOD.
Is it the money? No. If so, Explain Pinkel's staff. If so, explain Strong's staff. Explain Fl St. Explain Georgia.
Is it recruiting? Really?? Explain Mizzou.
Is it our history? Explain Mizzou. I have always been under the impression that those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. If you are one of those that use "it's our history" as an excuse, then you obviously KNOW the history and odds are that our university does to. Then why are we repeating it over and over?
Let's go one step more... We refuse to cheat like everybody else. That's in reference to getting better recruits. Then explain mizzou!! Then explain why we are on probation!
So sick of excuses.

So, not only do you have no answers -- You shoot down all the possible "excuses" based on single outliers.
Makes perfect sense for a darkhorse post...

Tap the brakes on Mizzou a bit. They have been really lucky with the schedule so far. Last year at this time, they had played a healthy UGA, USC, and Bama. They are probably better than last year, but I don't think they are on the same level with most of the other unbeaten teams.

agreed. I'm still not a believer. They got UGA who was playing 3rd team guys and one of the worst Florida teams in a long time.
They are a good team, but #5 in the BCS is way to high

I believe it is location. What do the Bamas, Auburns, LSUs, Floridas, Georgias, even OM have in common locale wise that we don't? They are within big city range. For a college football player, that is extremely important. As an example go here and search for starkville, ms Zoom out about 4 times. MSU has no direct highways that lead to big cities, beaches, party places. You have to drive way out of your way to hit the interstates that lead to those type places. So if you are a football player with major talent, do you want to be stuck in the middle of the country? I think if the state builds major highways to those type places, all of a sudden a player feels like he's not so isolated. Just my opinion.

Yeah we'll just spend millions and billions on interstates going to Starkville to improve recruiting.
I'm calling it. You are a troll alter.
Either that or an idiot.

This is exactly what I am talking about. Let's make excuses for ourselves while trying to excuse another teams accomplishments.
Does Mizzou have injuries? Yes. Their starting QB. Sound like we have that in common. They play a ranked team with a freshman getting his first start and beat them. We play a redshirt SO and we don't...
PS.. this isn't really about Mizzou being as good as other unbeaten teams. It's about what they have done with less talent and what we have not been able to do with better talent.

It's not my fault you don't know how to stay on topic.

Then you must believe it's recruiting and not having the talent. That bings me to again ask why are teams with less talent doing better with what they have?

Still pointing to problems. Nice job captain obvious. How about pointing to solution(s) -- since you clearly have all the answers?
