Nobody should take reddit as a solid source on the subject. however, the guy who originally posted this on a pay site is very much a credible insider, so that's why it has legs. If it was just John Q. Poster nobody would give it a second look, but this guy has built up a solid reputation so I would assume there's SOMETHING there.

Well IF IT WERE TRUE, and i feel dumb even typing that, i would hope there were some extremely serious issues other than on field performance to warrant it. There is almost zero to be gained from a midseason firing and normally looks very poorly on the program. Its a low class move that we are certainly not known for
