It's not like no one had ever heard of Ireland prior to this thread.
Here's how most conversations like this go:
Friend 1: "Hey man I'm thinking about taking a trip. Would you recommend something, I need ideas."
Friend 2: "Yea, I went to Ireland a few summers ago and it was awesome. You'd have a lot of fun"
Friend 1: "Thanks man I'll consider it"
This is no different than a conversation like that. In that scenario would you try and talk down to someone for being a "yuppie" because they thought Europe was cool? I'd hope not. Keep up the charade, Jeff.

No. I'd probably nod politely....and thank them disingenuously...... and then think to myself in my head...."Does this yuppie wannabe tool really think I'm gonna go to Ireland now because he was there for 48 hours and liked driving on left side of the road and how 'green as shite' it is.??."
