Jackie Sherrill was more successful than Dan Mullen has been. Mullen's overall winning percentage may be better, but the teams sherrill fielded in the late 90s were better than anything Mullen has had ever.

As to the OP, Mullen isn't going anywhere this year. I'm not sure he'd even be fired if they lost the rest of their games

you could argue that for his late 90s teams sure.

but you can't compare his entire career at State with Mullen. The first 5 years are the only way to do a fair comparison.
