I can definitely see this point to a different end here. I've never been to a big rivalry game or lived in an area where there was a "big" rivalry that you might compare to Alabama and Auburn. I've only ever experienced the Iron Bowl as far as that goes. There's NO way I could really judge how things hit the fan up North or on the east coast compared to how things are in Alabama. I've known Alabama vs Auburn for my ENTIRE life. It's the only rivalry I've truly known. I can see how there would be a bias, easily.

Well, most rivalries are fan based so I can see how SEC fans would be more into the IB than people from Oregon.

The IB is a huge rivalry among Alabama and Auburn fans and probably the top in state rivalry IMO.
