Arkansas transfer. Expect to see him get some balls thrown his way this week?

Matter of fact, is anyone else getting the feeling that we're going to (at least attempt to) air-it-out this weekend against Arkansas?

I don't think so. I think it will be balanced again. We'll run a little more than pass. I would be shockd to see us attempt more than 35 passes, we haven't done that all season.

We're completing around 63% and avg'ign 9.26 yards and attempt. So if we throw 35 times, we should have around 324 passing yards. We're also avging slightly less than 1 passing TD a game.

I sure as shite hope not. Maybe a deep route to byrd once, but I hope SOS pounds it with Davis.

Davis and Carson ... maybe. But we're hurting without Wilds in this one game in particular and especially.

If we're going to run the ball then Shaw, Ellington, P-Coop and perhaps even Byrd and, who knows Whitehurst maybe (hint), are going to have to carry some of the load.

I hope not, he better give Davis the rock and give it to him often.

IMO Arkansas' pass defense seems more questionable than their run D to this point: If Shaw can get some rhythm going early and hit some big plays, we could see Spurrier opt for the passing game a bit more over the run game. Especially if Arky focuses more on stopping Davis and the run game, and trying to force Shaw to win the game through the air.

But I agree we'll see an early attempt to get the run game established through Shaw and Davis. How well Connor can catch the Arky D focusing too much on Mike will go a long way on helping our run game be dynamic this Saturday...

I doubt it. The TD he caught against UNC wasn't suppose to go to him and I haven't seen him targeted since he dropped a TD against UGA.

As far as airing it out I pray to God that Spurrier sticks with Davis on the ground and uses play action to keep the defense honest. I don't want to see us attempt to throw the ball 40 times because I think we lose if we do that

Arky's run defense is ranked higher than their pass defense, and their pass efficiency defense is ranked #80. The also lost a starting CB, Hines, for this game. His replacement is a RS FR, Collins.

What would you like? Magic 8 ball? Crystal ball? Tea leaves? A vision perhaps?

We have to try and have balance maybe a slight lean to running the ball. I think we really need to play keep away from others teams offense. Control the clock and put points on the board and you limit the other teams chances to beat our D.
