I hate that our defense is awful. I really enjoy winning with a dominant defense. I miss the feeling of excitement whenever our defense took to the field, instead I dread it. It blows.
Being in the stadium yelling your guts out to try to help the defense get pumped up and interfere with the offense is probably the best thing about football.
Unfortunately, we don't have that this year. Please forgive us if we find reprieve in a MUCH improved offense while our defense is under construction.
Be assured, SEC fans, Chavis will have this defense back into shape. It may not be fully complete this year, but we will return to defensive dominance.

I see what you're saying, but it means the crowd noise is more important than ever. They might not need us as much when they're dominant. When they're not very good, they need the crowd to distract the offense, cause delay of game penalties or anything else that could help to mess up an offensive drive.
