Took a no-hitter into the 7th.

No hitter through 7 1/3 before giving up a HR. Unbelievable balls in a hostile environment.
His last 2 outings:
8 2/3 before giving up a hit.
7 1/3 before giving up a hit.

I would like to echo reedus in his comments.
Thanks aTm. Thank you very much for this gem of a pitcher.

He loves getting the ball in big situations. Was the same way in college. That is something that you can't teach and I can't wait to see him own October through his career with the Cards

I wish him a long and successful career he can damn sure bring it when the pressure is on

I'll give Pittsburgh credit. That was about as hostile of a place to play in the post season as there is. It phased Wacha ZERO. I don't think the question is if, but how many no-no's this kid pitches before his career is over. That's a tough thing to do and requires some luck along the way, but I'm that impressed with his stuff. Through the first 3 he was dealing almost nothing but fastballs and changeups. Then he started in with his breaking ball. All just nasty.

So the Cardinals are in the NLCS. Won a hard fought game against Greinke in game 1. Facing likely Cy Young pitcher Kershaw in game 2.
So if I told you Kershaw pitched 6 innings, giving up only ONE unearned run and the Cardinals were held to that ONE run and two hits for the entire game, most people would assume the Dodgers won the game.
And those people couldn't be more wrong.
Why? Because likely Cy Young award winner Kershaw was outmatched by MICHAEL WACHA who threw 6 2/3 scoreless ball.
Aggies, we've said it before but I'll say it again, y'all not only produced someone special but someone special at the highest of levels.
