No word on Gurley so far. Hearing an ankle sprain, but he was spotted jogging on the sidelines and even jumping a couple of times, so I don't think it is TOO serious.
Several turning points, but the fumbled punt was huge. Add to that missed interference calls....man, what were the referees thinking? They missed three against LSU and 3-4 against us. Two or three that should have been called against Georgia happened in the second half and at crucial points. They played a part in the game. We were able to get to Mett several times and that was big. All in all an excellent and exciting game.

I know there were missed calls on both sides, but I liked the refs letting them play. The non calls were pretty much even on both sides.
Great game, though. Congrats to UGA.

my first time to Athens for a game. Have to say Downtown Athens is the by far the best in the SEC(hands down, no contest) and the campus is beautiful

I think the best explanation was that they called a fair game. Either call them all or call none at all, and they rarely called any. They just let the defensive backs play, which really helped LSU. When LSU wasn't committing PI, they were beaten for touchdowns, huge plays, or drops.
It's funny. The fumbled punt came after terrible PI that was not called. Georgia got vengeance. In the first half, LSU made Georgia pay for two blown calls too, so I don't think the officials really decided this game. Both teams received pretty even treatment, and Georgia pulled ahead.

I wasn't sold on your pass rush or rushing defense, but they were very impressive. Georgia looked awesome at times. I wouldn't be surprised if Georgia qualitatively was Top 3 in the league to end the season.
Honestly, is this defense that far off from being better than last year's? The 2012 Georgia secondary was much better, but the rushing defense was an embarrassment. Flip that this season. Stopping the run is more critical than stopping the pass most times. Georgia is dangerous now, and if they can get past Florida, then they deserve to go to Atlanta. No doubt.

Great game. Two very evenly matched teams. Have not heard anything about TDG yet, however it looks like atleast a severe sprain. Im guessing a couple weeks. As long as he is back for Uf game we'll be alright.
Was very impressed with Mett. I knew the day he left we would have to face him in a matchup like that some day. Any casual fan had to be thoroughly entertained. Heres to both teams winning out and getting to Atlanta
Yes, it was a great game, and Georgia showed a lot of potential. They were the most impressive team I saw yesterday. Georgia exceeded expectations IMO and overcame far more adversity. Gurley averaged 9.1 yards per carry in his brief time playing. Georgia basically overcame playing without Gurley for 3 quarters and an interception for the win.
Mettenberger and the wide receivers put themselves in a position to win, but their defense couldn't get the job done. Neither team's secondary was great yesterday. I know Mettenberger turned a corner in the Alabama game last season, but we'll really see what the LSU passing game is about versus Florida. I hope the loss of Easley doesn't have a huge impact on the game.
Good luck Georgia. Look up LSU fans.
It's only Week 5. 9 more weeks of play remain before the SEC division winners are determined.
