Anybody can win at LSU, because we're the only big school in the state. All the best in-state recruits come here automatically. Any coach in the country can win 11 games a year here.

Yea the 80's and 90's were awesome. I think the aforementioned statement is the dumbest thing that our fans come up with. Yes LSU is in a great position, but really? We sucked the big one for multiple decades. No school can automatically win 11 games a year. In fact, Miles is the only coach to average close to 11 wins per year.

LSU has had teams voted National Champion by different polls, rankings, indexes, publications, associations, etc. in 6 different decades:
1900's (1908), 1930's (1935, 1936), 1950's (1958),
1960's (1961,1962), 2000's (2003, 2007), and 2010's (2011).
LSU has gone to NYD bowls and had Top 10 teams in every decade but the 1890's and 1920's.

AGAIN:
LSU was #12 in number of all-time victories and #10 in bowl appearances, """"""BEFORE""""" Saban.
