We play UCF in 2 weeks, but this isn't the UCF team of "old."

UCF is 3-0, beating Akron (who almost beat Mich today,) Fla Int, and Ped State.

UCF has a bye week this week as well.

They run a balanced offense like ours, but use more depth to carry the ball.

They have 6 returning starters on offense form last year and 5 on defense.

Their QB, Bortles, is like Dylan, a pocket passer but can run a little. He threw for over 3K yards last season but also had 8 rushing TD's. He's 6'4" 230lbs.
He's over 70% on completions for the season, with 7 TD's and 1 INT.

They have 3 OL returning, 2 were All Conference USA las year. Overall their OL is solid.

Their RB is Storm Johnson, he was the nations #7 RB in 2009, signed with Miami, then whatever happend and now he's at UCF. He can play, he's avg'ing over 5 yards per carry. They also use around 4-5 other guys a game to carry the ball. He also has receiving TD's.

They've been running 59-65 plays a game. They try to grind defenses with rushing and hit deep passes.

Their defense is still a little unknown, we'll be the best offense they've played against, but they have us at home. FIU and Akron didn't do crap against them, but Penn St was able to move the ball, especially rushing, really well.

HIghlights from UCF vs Akron this year.

We should still beat them, but they are a high quality non-bcs team...they aren't an Austin Peay by any stretch of the imagination. This will be a tough game, they matchup really well against us and we're on the road.

Yeah I am concerned with the game being on their field....they will be very fired up because they rarely host opponents as highly ranked as we will be, while we'll be in their stadium for the first time ever and could end up being flat if we're not careful.

They put up big stats, and I usually would think, "yeah, but they're another typical C-USA, Sunbelt program that plays against other C-USA, Sunbelt competition", but they just beat Penn State in their house, so we better be pretty prepared for them. Hopefully Davis and Clowney is 100%, and Waldrop also comes back ready to go.

We should wear them down as the game progresses, but we haven't exactly looked dominant in 2nd halves thus far this season, whether by design or not....

Felt like picking Penn State in the pickem was a bad idea.

This is a much tougher game than we're going to get credit for. However if we eliminate the special teams turnovers we had tonight we looked very impressive on both sides of the ball. Hopefully that will carry over through the bye week and into the game against UCF

I saw some of their FIU game. It was at FIU, so there's that, but UCF didn't really impress me all that much (with the exception of Johnson, he's pretty beastly at times). Bortles looked average, at best and Storm carried that team. Their defense was a sieve at times against the ground game of a bad FIU running attack. I didn't see any of the Penn State game, so something must have come on for them (or the B1G is even worse than last year...).

Did anyone watch the game?
