I read the linked article but I have not read the article that was in reference. It seems like Thayer Evans tried to be sneaky, mis-quoted, tried to manipulate the story or out right fabricated lies about what Pogi said to him in the interview.

What kind of a writer shows up unannounced, at someones place of work, which happens to be a Church in this instance, to interview someone. He didn't even take notes nor tell him that the interview would be part of a story.

Weird.. some of the writers are really crossing the line with their stories.

Yep. He and his running buddy Pete Thamel were accused of the same tactics while "researching" the Honey Badger story.

Also understand that Evans was poking around Springdale, AR back in 2011 trying to dig up dirt on Gus - using the very same tactics.

But of course, his reporting on...<ahem> another, high profile, story <cough, cough> was taken as the gospel truth by some.
