Not perfect but major improvement. I understand it was against alcorn state, but It was still leaps better.

"If Tyler is healthy and ready to go, he'll be playing quarterback for us," Mullen said Sunday. "If he's not, then Dak (Prescott) will be playing quarterback for us."
I hope this is coach speak, but if not, I hope the concussion can buy Muffin one more week.

It wasnt a qb issue with Ok St. It was the play calling.
If we put Dak in and go back to the play calling of 2 weeks ago, we will get beat. If we put TR in and call as well as we did this week, we win.

Do you think it's easier to call plays for Tyler or Dak?
Who do you think evades pressure and buys more time when the coaches call a pass play, Tyler or Dak?
Who gives is a running threat to allow the coaches to call run plays, Tyler or Dak? Had Tyler been running the zone read from 11 yards out that Dak scored on, he'd still be running and it's Sunday

Both. They ran the same plays.

A non factor. both have shown to be able to buy time. But if you would like to make it a factor, Dak played against Alcorn State, not OK St..

In the only game we saw this season where both played, TR had 1 less yard than Dak in the exact same amount of run plays called for the QB.

No. He had that big of a run vs OK St.... not Alcorn St.
There's no reason for a QB change. Every reason for a change in how those plays were called.
Here's the difference from game 1 to game 2 after the first scripted series.
2nd series:
OK ST:
rush, rush, rush, rush, Pass
Alcorn St:
Pass, pass, rush, pass, rush, rush
3rd series:
Ok St:
pass, rush, rush, rush
Alcord St
pass rush rush
4th series
Ok St:
rush, rush, rush
Alcorn St:
pass, pass, pass
5th series
OK State:
pass rush rush
Alcorn St:
rush, pass, pass, rush, pass, pass
See the difference?
In those next series, 12 rushing plays and 3 passing vs OK ST. Also, Please keep in mind (answering your question again), Dak was stopped how many times trying to get the first in this game?
Calls vs Alcorn.... 7 runs over the same amount of plays called with 8 passes.
See the difference? Understand why OSu was crowding the line? Play calling was the issue. Not TR being in the game.
