Bama fan, are you happy with Doug Nussmeier

Just curious what Bama fans think of the job he is doing. I realize it's hard to say a coach is not doing well behind 2 consecutive BCSC. Be objective.

No, I wish they would fire him and the OL coach and hire Cam CAM and coach Stud....

Yes. We ran a 51% run and 49% pass oriented offenses at year. I love how we're a run first team that can kill you with the play action, it keeps the defense on their toes. So if anything, I like the unpredictability. (Except for when AJ threw that int against aTm, I didn't like that goal like unpredictability)

Yes. Our yards per carry, quarterback efficiency, and especially red zone efficiency last year were as good as any team we have had under Saban. He also seems to have opened up some west coast recruiting avenues that Bama previously did not have access to.
I know everyone is freaking out about how futile the offense looked in Week 1, but I'm not ready to freak out just yet. If we're having problems in a few weeks, I think there might be something there, but even still, there would be a strong argument it's not all scheme related. If you look at Bama's recent activity on the recruiting trail, it seems the coaches think there are some personnel and depth issues with the offensive line.
Personally, I think they'll get it fixed. But very pleased with Nuss so far.

The coach at Colorado St was the OC in 2011. Nussmeier's first year was 2012. I seem to remember all the gumps bitching after the A&M game for not running Lacy and instead throwing the ball and having the pic at the end.

Some Bama fans will complain about anything. If I remember Lacy got banged up in that game and Yeldon fumbled. It was a good call but we didnt pick up the DB

Agreed. I think it wasn't Yeldon's fault, as I think AJ didn't put the ball where it had to be. Yeldon also had a fumble against LSU.

I am very pleased with Nuss. Don't judge by Saturday, that game was a W early.
