Waldrop sprained his foot and is in a walking boot. No indication if he will play Saturday or not. Would be a huge loss imo. Clayton Stadnick the backup
On the brighter side of things Ellington and Cooper both practiced Saturday with Ellington expected to be close to 100% and Cooper potentially playing.
Busta Anderson and J.T. Surratt are "lightly practicing" and will be evaluated later in the week.
Any word on UGA's injuries?

Our #1 wr is out. Starting safety is back from suspension.

Mitchell right? Any word on Gurley or Marshall? I know Gurley went back in but Marshall looked like he got nicked up and I don't remember seeing him after

Yeah Malcolm. Mitchell. I haven't heard anything abt the running backs, but I haven't been on the net much today. I didn't know there was even a question abt Marshall. Gurley should be fine.

Waldrop was still on crutches today so its doubtful he'll play. Hampton is also not starting the game because of injury

What are the criticisms of Brock Stadnik. I have heard he hasn't impressed well in fall camp. Does he draw flags? Doesn't fire off the line? I haven't heard anything specific, just that he isn't up to par.
ETA: Clayton Stadnik, not Brock. I'm getting my Stadniks mixed up again.

Ahmad Christian from what I've heard will start in his spot tomorrow night.

I haven't heard anything specific either but Clayton Stadnick is a redshirt freshman so I'm assuming he might not know the playbook well enough and might have strength issues. Obviously experience is against him since he was behind Waldrop all Spring and Fall and the third string backup is a true freshman.
Hopefully Waldrop can tough it out this week and then maybe the coaches can come up with a solution to give him some rest next week against Vandy. I wouldn't mind seeing A.J. Cann move to center and Brock Stadnick move in at LG.

According to Chuck Oliver on ATL radio today, he talked to his "inside man" in Columbia who said Waldrop has the same injury that Shaw had surgery for. He said the injury won't get worse by playing on it, it's just the player's tolerance for pain. They are hoping he can play through the pain.
FWIW- Chuck Oliver is not a UGA guy, he's actually an Auburn guy.

Clayton Stadnick...he did struggle one week during camp and true freshman Alan Knott passed him, but then I found out that Clayton was suffering from a concussion apparently (didn't think they'd let concussed players practice), and that was when he struggled. So I don't know.....Coach Elliott sounded pretty positive about Clayton after practice yesterday or day before...
I'm hoping that Cody will be able to play a certain portion of the game, and platoon with Clayton at least. OL can typically deal with ankle injuries better than skill players if they aren't very severe. Just wrap them up tight and give them an ankle brace. All they need to do is be able to push off or hold their ground with strength. Hopefully Cody will play some tomorrow...

Clemson's center did just fine against UGA's shitty DL. There's no reason your backup can't do just as well.
The only difference is that Grantham moved our (only) senior DE to NT on the depth chart this week, so I don't know what the hell to expect from the DL. We are pretty deep on DL, just noone in particular has broken out to become a star yet, of course it's only been one game. Moving our DE over to Nose is kind of a weird move and noone on Dawgrant can make heads or tails of it. I hope it's to move our previous NT, Mike Thornton, over to offensive line @ Left Tackle.
So we'll see how Garrison Smith does, and see what Grantham is up to. It might have something to do with Waldrop.

Another injury to be on the lookout for, on UGA side, is Tray Matthews, safety.
Hamstring has had him in and out of practice during the summer, no chatter about it this week, but hammy's can be lingering injuries that pop back up at the worst times. Matthews is our most promising new player on defense, so it will be big if he doesn't start, or misses time.

Looks like tramel terry is out with a concussion.
TE jay Rome, DBs Brendan Langley shaq wiggins and WR Wooten are hobbled with various injuries but should play tomorrow
Waldrop still listed as questionable but cedrick cooper should play some tomorrow

Terry has been out, possibly redshirt, he is coming off torn ACL.

Thought that he played last week

That's news to me. But it was 8pm game, I was piss drunk. And due to the outcome, I have not looked back at stats players blah blah.
Did he play?

... Waldrop is a RS Freshman too. All three of our Centers are Freshman, two RS and one True. Center was always going to be the question mark no matter who's arse Shaw is caressing.
Honestly I think, the way the coaches are talking about the injury, Waldrop is going to play all year on the injury unless it's so painful that he can't go. In which case he'll be benched due to surgery. Getting snaps for Stadnick and Knott against UGA might actually be a blessing if Waldrop can't go. The more experience the better.

Yea but Waldrop has taken all the snaps since spring and has been the unquestioned starter since Johnson left pretty much so I'd think there's a pretty large talent gap

Probably. And the weight difference can't be ignored. But experience wise I don't know that it's that much of a difference.
