Why? I could never understand that argument. I mean, can you name anyone in the nation that was better than Alabama or LSU? They were the two best teams in the country. I thought the whole point was to have the two best teams play for the Natty. That year, Bama and LSU were the best, and frankly, I don't see how anybody could argue that point.

The case for LSU/BAMA is better than the Florida last year. However, Bama already lost to LSU and someone else should've been given a shot. That is just my opinion.

Actually no. Florida had a stronger SOS than Bama. If the case of ND losing happened, Florida had a stronger argument than Bama did actually. However, like I said before. I thought Oklahoma State deserved to go. So it doesn't contradict that Florida should have at least really have been considered.

No problem with your opinion. It is a legitimate one and very valid. My argument is that Alabama's kicker had a HORRIBLE off night. had he been kicking normally, Alabama probably would have won the first meeting. ALSO, Alabama proved how good they were in the second game. If it had gone your preferred way, the best team in the country would not have played for the Natty.

As for Florida....I'm not sold they had the top 1 or two teams in the country last year. BUT, they easily could have been undefeated at the end of the regular season. Ironically, if they had, they would have played Bama in the SECCG, and that would have (probably) settled it as far as the Natty question, one way or the other.
