this is a blow to Arkansas though which is always nice. That game meant an awful lot to them. Now they finish the season with Missou or something instead and they are on equal footing as Mississippi State on our schedule which is where they should be.

It hurts Texas and helps A&M to have the game on TDay but that's not a Daddy issue. It's just a reality of recruiting in Texas. Texas is the one that has promoted the TDay game as their game and even got the B12 to go along with allowing them to always play at home. For A&M to play a bigger game on the same day minimizes them and helps us in recruiting.
More than that though, Aggies like to play football on Thanksgiving. That's what we have done or tried to do for a very long time. Having a TDay tailgate of turkey and watching the Cowboy game is just what we do.

Umkay. Scheduling the LSU game on Thanksgiving when given the choice has nothing at all to do with Texas.
We're all buying that one.
Nobody gives a frick what you're buying, a-hole. The decision's been made without any input from you.
Fact is we have years and years of gameday and holiday traditions built around playing on Thanksgiving. For me, it's an excuse to not have spend the full holiday sitting around the house with family, and I'll take any excuse I can get.

You do realize Texas also plays on Thanksgiving now, right? In spite of the fact they no longer play us.

PS: Enjoy Mizzou
