QB: Brandon Allen takes over at QB this year. Petrino called him one of the best freshman QBs he's ever coached during his redshirt year in 2011. Looked bad last year but looks to be improved this year. 4* freshman Austin Allen will be the likely backup IMO, with dual threat QBs AJ Derby and freshman Damon Mitchell rounding it out.

RB: 4* Jonathan Williams will start the season as the #1. Showed flashes as a freshman last year but only got 45 carries. On the doak walker award watch list. 5* Alex Collins will push him for playing time and has looked explosive in practice. Kody Walker at 6'0, 240 will be our short yardage back and Nate Holmes is a speedster that we will use on sweeps and PR...i like this group as there is a different type of back for every situation

FB: Kiero Small is a beast of a run blocker. Also on the doak walker award watch list, he will be key in our run game and we missed him last year. Very physical player.

WR/TE: Seniors Javontee Herndon, Julian Horton and Demetrius Wilson will start the season as our go to WRs. Herndon was a speedy deep threat last year while horton is a possession WR with solid hands. Wilson came in as a juco last year and has good speed. Sophomores Keon Hatcher and D'Arthur Cowan have potential and will be looked at a lot too. Freshman Drew Morgan has turned heads in practice and could get PT this year. TE Austin Tate returns and is a big target and a decent blocker. Highly touted freshman Hunter Henry will see the field a lot and is a beast of a receiver. We will use a lot of TEs on the field at once.
