So Steve Spurrier is an idiot and doesn't understand how college athletics works? I'm not an expert, that's for sure, but if they already get stipends, why would Spurrier support stipends if they already exist? Is he going senile?

Well he's likely talking about general stipends. The ones I'm talking about are for specific purposes.

Spurrier is wanting an additional $2,000 for each player at the beginning of the semester that is attached to their scholarship and travel expenses paid for families each game.
