I forgot Auburn despite them having defeated Georgia more recently than Georgia Tech and Tennessee. Yeah, I know a rival being down doesn't break the traditional rivalry; however, respecting your traditional yet average rivals more than a good team that's given you fits the past few years is just stupid. Traditions like women voting, out of office, segregation, and slavery have been broken in the past. I believe that we can soon reach the point where certain traditional rivalries can be parted with. If you're a kid and have only watched Georgia football for the past 5 years, what do Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Tennessee mean to you versus South Carolina? Who's given you more trouble? Exactly. The traditions would have to be instilled in you. I don't believe that tradition is what makes the game great or else we wouldn't have teams like today's South Carolina, Florida since Spurrier, 21st century LSU, etc.
