LSU 2011 > 1958, regardless of outcome.

Alabama 2011 > 1961, regardless of outcome.

Auburn 2004 > 2010, regardless of outcome.

I'm sick of people acting like teams are incredible and untouchable just because they're teams from back in the 50's and 60's and they seem mythical. Some of the best football ever fielding is in front of our eyes TODAY.

To my Auburn comment, the 2004 TEAM was better than 2010. In 2010, they just had one fantastic player that was able to save every game and win an NC for them.

I don't necessarily disagree with this but the 1958 team was incredibly stacked.

-The Chinese Bandits were a third string defensive unit.

-Heisman trophy winning running back

-Perfect season plus national championship

It appears no one could score much more than fg or two against the 1958 Tigers.

The 2011 LSU team was the best I've ever seen and while it maybe easy for some to say they were the best, it's hard to ignore what the 1958 team accomplished.
