100% of those NFL players getting fined would rather get fined than be ejected for a Super Bowl. I feel like there should be some kind of warning system in place before an ejection. For example, a 15 yard penalty and if the same player is called for another targeting penalty that season he is ejected for a game. A third targeting penalty and he is suspended for the remaining season. That would eliminate the clear thugs who are doing it to hurt people, without unfairly punishing an unintentional mistake.

I don't like the auto ejection thing either. AU had a player ejected in its spring game for this. On replay, it was actually a clean hit, but looked bad on the field. Although it is pretty dumb to hit someone on your own team that hard during a spring game.
