The problem is Chizik got sick and tired to running a fast paced O only to get the freakin line, snap the ball and get an offsides penalty, illegal shift, a busted play, or a QB that looked clueless and couldn't execute the play which resulted in his defense trotting back out on the field in a few short minutes.

Chizik didn't like all that movement behind the line to try to distract and confuse the defense that resulted in his QB getting his face planted into the turf. Chizik didn't like all the jet sweeps, end arounds, triple reverse shite the amounted to zero yrds gained.
Chizik should have concerned himself with the defense getting gashed every fricking year he was the head coach.

I agree - Chizik "should" have done a lot of things differently. But at the end of the day a head coach is responsible for the entire team, both offense and defense. And if he see's that one unit is a detriment to the production of another unit, it's his job to do whatever "he" feels necessary to get his entire team to compete.

Sorry if I don't feel like Gene Chizik was 100% to blame for the mess that we saw on the field in '11 & '12. Folks say he meddled to much and stunted Gus' innovative offensive plans.

IMO, that '11 offense wouldn't have been much more productive if it was executed at lighenting speed or at normal speed. Some of the plays and the damn carousel QB rotation (Gus rarely allowed one single QB to complete an offensive series) had an awful lot to do with the results, and that lays on GM.
