Yeah because some other team that has one isn't gonna be picked. My point is conference titles are the only title that a team as complete control over.

Read my post again. The only two times Spurrier has ever had any argument to play in a title game he got in the game. So your argument that Spurrier had no control over the amount of title games he played in is completely unfounded. For him to be such an elite coach, having no undefeated teams and only two 1 loss teams in a 20+ year career does not speak that well for him.
