I believe Vanderbilt has also relaxed it's requirements since Franklin got there. It's no coincidence they're getting better players since then (other factors are at work as well). IIRC, it was part of Franklin's stipulations for taking the job.

DG is a stud and the U will be getting one of the best. That being said, I pay for info, and he was a no go at a&m. We worked really hard with him, but it just wasn't going to work. It is also based on the SEC rules as well. Risk was too great.
Our basketball team could have really used him. It would have been huge had he qualified.
