OT: anyone have the Galaxy 4

I have the 2 and my wife has the 3. I'm up for an upgrade Monday, I can trade mine in and get the 4 for $100. My question is what can it do that my 2 can't? And is there another phone out there ( not iPhone) that would be a better choice?
Eta: oh yea and battery life is a huge thing for me as well, is the 4 just as shitty as the 2? I have to put mine on charger at about 11am everyday to keep it alive.

I have the s3, and they are pretty much the same phone honestly. It wouldn't be worth the upgrade to do so. Battery life can be fix, but you have to take that extra step and root your phone. After you root the mods are endless on what you can do with your phone. I would hold out until the end of the year though if you not comfortable with rooting.

The s4 has multi screen.
And can pause a video when you don't look at the screen also.

Are you sure about this? When iPhone 6 comes out in the fall there will be a gold version.

Did the 2 have the 4G LTE network, or is it just a 3G phone?

This same feature is on the s3. All the software upgrades on the s4 will be coming to the S4 when Jelly Bean is released.

They'll probably release the Galaxy 5 within the next year anyways, so you just might wait until then and get more value in the upgrade. I think the processing is just going to get a little bit better each model and that's how they get people in the cycle of contantly renewing.
We're almost at the point to where the phone hardware won't matter as much until the network (5G wireless) improves.

If the 3 has 4G LTE then that's as good as the network is going to get for the next 3-4 years. It's about functionality after that and whether that's worth the $100. I don't know the specs about what the 4 can do that the 3 or 2 can't.

Jailbroken iPhones are nice. Although I don't know what to do when the new iOS comes out because it looks like a big upgrade but probably no jailbreak for a while

My brother in law has a droid that will last two full day plus sone on a charge. That's really my main issue with my s2.if I'm out in the woods or on the lake all day my phone will be in the red without me even using it. I don't want to step back in phones even though his is a yr and a half newer than mine I just don't know it its comparable to mine as far as functions. But the battery life may make up for that. I think his is some kinda razor not sure though

Just went to iPhone 5 from Drained.........I mean Droid. Really like the phone and the battery lasts all day as opposed to 3 hours.
