Here is Phil Steele's writeup for us this coming season. Has us in at #14, one spot ahead of Clemson and one behind A&M. Seems low, but I'd rather be 14 and jump up than top five and get big headed. Though I do think, with our schedule, this might even be a tad low...

Decent right up. I do think we have the deepest TE corp in the country.

Phil says his rankings are where he expects teams to finish up -- they are not the typical pre-season rankings.

Still, I'm not buying it. Unless the wheels totally fall off, 14th is the low end of expectations -- 8-4. We'd have to lose to UGA, Clemson, another SEC team, and the bowl game. Then again, if we lose to UNC, it's even worse.

And I hate Steele's magazine. You need a magnifying glass to read it. And when you do, you realize 80% of the info is recycled history from the last 5 years. It is definitely not the "most complete, most informative" he touts it to be.

That's about where he had us last year as well ... losing to Georgia and Clemson if I remember correctly.

And it reads like a tween's text barrage. Every other word abbreviated, often needlessly.
