Im not saying it is or isn't gold or yellow.
But I always thought Saints gold was gold.
And then they call the Steelers the black and gold. Always pist me off. For sure that is yellow IMO. But with that logic, LSU would be Purple and Yellow. Yet its known as purple and gold which is fine by me.

The Canary Yellow color comes from the Mardi Gras colors from which LSU originally wore at the first LSU vs Tulane game. Tulane bought all the Green ribbon to adorn their Gray uniforms and LSU used what was left, which was the Purple and Gold (Canary Yellow) ribbon.
