Aggies gave LSU no end of grief for dropping the extension of the series in the 90s due to going to an 8-game conference schedule after SEC expansion to 12 teams.

The SEC went to an 8 game schedule in 1992. LSU ended the series after 1995 and five-straight opening weekend losses.

So after three years, someone in the LSU front office finally said "Holy chit, Boudreaux, we'd bin plahyin' dees Ahgeeze da firs week for tree dam yeahrs and we don' got anotha SEC con-test we gotta play!"

1/10. Honestly, I miss the Arky trolling. They were entertaining. You aTm fans are rather pathetic.

Gerry said he couldn't build a program starting the season 0-1. Truth.

Right, however LSU was still in a ten-year contract with A&M. they weren't going to break that, all they did was cancel the two year extension when it came up because LSU was losing money by not having enough home games. We added Arky as a home and away series and couldn't afford another one.

At least we honored the original contract - AND gave the aggies a suitable replacement as per the contract. Unfortunately the aggies didn't feel it was a suitable replacement after they ended up losing to USL.

...that's when they started to blame LSU and demanding money.
