Nope, AC/DC did that one for the Gamecocks. Joe Morrison was the Man in Black ... Bon Scott saw him walk-out in all black, on TV vs FSU, and decided he needed a song to walk-out on the field to - thus, Back in Black.

Very famous interview and video of Bon Scott singing the Gamecock alma mater with Barbara Streisand somewhere. I'll have to google for that one of these days.
