Shameik Backshear commits to USC!

Huge pickup by Coach Sands and USC for the 2015 class! Blackshear will potentially be the top SC prospect for the 2015 cycle. A lot of "insider" evaluators are calling him a future 5* '15 prospect and the best talent they've pulled since Clowney. Reports are that he's already working to recruit '15 prospect Albert Huggins for us!

Who are some of the other 2015 SC prospects in the 4*+ range?
Albert Huggins is the only other one I've heard a/b thus far.

Zack Bailey, OT our of Summerville. He's huge for a 16 year old my it's not fat.
Then there are wa few guys that could develop a lot next year. Tavin Richardson from Byrnes already has a pro body for a WR, 6'3" 200 lbs.
There are a couple of good guys that are clemspon leans as well.

I've read that 24/7sports will be putting out their 2015 class rankings tomorrow, so at least with them we'll know soon....

Coach Sands and Adams both deserve some credit for this one from what I've read - and it is definitely a big get.
Now, Feb 2015 is a long ways away.

Bailey just graded at a 90, so a 4 star on 247.
Some other names that might end up being 4 stars are:
Lasamuel Davis
John Sutton (if he gets some SEC offers)
Kaleb Chamers
Michael Barnett (SC is loaded with DE's this year.)
I think these are the guys who have a better shot right now, but all of them still have 2 seasons left, so there could be several new guys who step into the picture.

Looks like Blackshear was rated a 98 by 24/7 in their new ratings for 2015 today....so he's already a 5* per them...

Right now our 2015 class is ranked #3 Nationally.

It can't stay that way, because of the limited numbers we'll have to give, (in both of these next two classes), but it will still be an excellent class - especially if we have the kind of campaign we are capable of having this coming season.

I hope it doesn't, we should move to #1
Agreed, this year will be tight, but next year's class will be at 22 commits I think.
We are graduating 4 this year and projected to graduate 17 the next year. We'll probably take 13-18 this year (depending on who signs), so we will have already "processed" what needs to be done.
I think we could have around 4 early outs to the NFL after the '14 class, but I think that will be the last year of the probation too, so signing a number in the low 20's sounds about right.
