OK. Now that I understand, I'll offer a rebuttal.

He was a decent cover corner but he wasn't asked to do this exclusively. His playmaking ability, which changed momentum of games, was not matched. Whether you judge him on skills or playmaking, he deserves recognition.

For example, Tim Tebow was great at what he did. Average to below average passer but I still qualify him as a QB. A damn good college QB too.

Let's look at Tebow on a per-play basis and see how he weighs in.

Let's disqualify Cam because he only played one year too.

Take away any great player's "playmaking" ability and they are just a player.

Manziel is a great playmaker. He is not a freak athlete. He knows how to make plays, and as a QB, he gets a lot more chances to make plays than any other position.
