Alabama was also lucky the SEC schedulers decided to put Florida on TAM's schedule last year.
Being the favored program by the SEC schedulers paid off big time last year for Alabama.
Alabama gets to dodge Georgia this year with another custom tailored bridge schedule just for them. Some wonder if that is just luck, or double dealing.

Yet perhaps the biggest stroke of luck for Alabama is that the fools in Columbus valued a potential Sugar Bowl win over Arkansas
so highly.
