So I didn't get to follow the game last night but the first thing I read this morning is
Bases loaded, 1 out, Sam Frost to pinch hit.
Pitcher having control issues, Frost swings at first pitch, grounds into game ending double play.
WHEN WILL SAM FROST QUIT frickING US?
WHEN WILL COHEN STOP LETTING SAM FROST frick US?

I was just getting on here to make this exact point. That is just horrible baseball thinking right there. I wouldn't be quite as upset about it if he hadn't hit the first fricking pitch. Sam probably came up there thinking he was going to hit a walk off grand slam and be the savior.
I am well aware that it was the top of the 9th therefore he couldn't hit a "walk off" anything. I don't think Sam knew that though.

He barely got into the box and the ball was coming and then he swung like he was trying his hardest to get in a double play. It all happened so fast. I didn't even have time to get mad about the decision. Which brings this question: Who was gonna catch if we had come back?

Was certainly a moronic baseball play. That was a definite "take a strike" situation...
