Some mock drafts coming into the draft today had USC with a definite 6 draft potentials. Here are the rounds:
NFL.com:
Swearinger - 2nd (49ers)
Taylor - 3rd (Falcons)
Sanders - 4th (Bills)
Holloman - 4th (Rams)
Lattimore - 4th (Steelers)
Johnson - 7th (Lions)
Drafttek.com:
Swearinger - 3rd (Giants)
Holloman - 4th (Bengals)
Lattimore - 4th (Dolphins)
Taylor - 5th (Cowboys)
Johnson - 6th (Bears)
Sanders - 7th (49ers)
Next in line for a possible sneak into the draft would be Cunningham...
Six draft picks would be the 3rd most in USC history for a single draft. The record is 9 draft picks taken all the way back in 1954. Second most is 7 draft picks taken in 2009. We also had 6 drafted in last year's NFL draft, so with 21 NFL draft picks taken in 3 of the past 5 drafts (we only had 2 in 2010 and 2011), that's another solid indicator of the upgrade in overall talent level in our FB program. If 6 go in this year's draft, that's a total of 25 drafted in the past 5 years...

I would think that would be a safe bet. Could, possibly, have as many as three go IMHO. There could be a surprise in there. Taylor and Holloman are the big question marks IMHO.

Swearinger is the safest bet....Taylor seemed to impress people with his senior bowl or all-star bowl game he played in. He could possibly be taken by the 3rd rd. I have no idea about Marcus, but something tells me he'll fall to 4th or 5th....

Marcus is going to be the steal of the draft if he drops lower than the 4th. Heck, he'll still be a steal in the 3rd for that matter IMHO. I honestly believe he will fall no farther than the early 3rd and could go in the 2nd if someone like San Fran, (who has been calling), or Green Bay, (who has also been calling), decides they want him. I really cannot imagine a better back in the draft, with the possible except of maybe Ball, than a surgically repair Marcus. I guess that guy up at UNC is going to get some looks, but seriously, if someone wants a good back then they jump on Marcus sometime today early.
I spoke with a Swearinger family member today (she works next door and I've known the whole family for awhile), and she told me that D.J. was getting a lot of attention from Cincy and they told him they want him but he was warned by his agent that they would take Cyrpien (at 37) if he was still available and then hope DJ was still around with their second pick in the 2nd round. (53rd I think). They all think that if Cincy doesn't take him at 37 then Carolina is gonna pick him up 44 because they've been talking to him a lot as well.
Who knows. Calls don't always mean they are serious about taking someone, but it does mean they are interested.

Not looking good right now. 49 are gone and still no DJ.

Well, there you go leave it to Bob McNair to take the first Gamecock.

Good gosh I hope so. It has been, for the most part, a disappointing first three rounds so far.
We've still got some guys that need to go quick tomorrow.

Would've loved to see Taylor or Latty fall off the board today but, oh well.
Wish Latty could've stayed healthy & been a 1st rounder.

Yep, so Ace goes earlier than Taylor, Lattie or Holloman.
Go figure - I guess he made the right move huh? Plus he is back in Florida.
