quote:This might be my favorite because we used to be known as the team that folded around mid-October when we would get to the meat of the schedule. We would always start out with a decent record (5-2 or 6-1 or something like that) and finish on a huge slide with 3-5 losses in a month and a half.

Ah Stanford instead of FSU. Good link, thanks
It has to tear Clemson fans apart always looking up and seeing us in everything now.

Gamecock Central stole that, like they do so many things, from someone else.
In this case that was a promotional flyer put-out by the school itself via an email promotion almost immediately after the Outback Bowl Game. I may still have a copy of it somewhere, but it was a nice graphic and it mentioned all of those things if my memory serves me correctly.
Also, here's the real question ...
Which of those can we hope to extend or improve upon this coming season?
We really have a chance to do some special things this season and next IMHO.

quote:Yeah I remember seeing it a while back too. It had just popped up on my FB newsfeed yesterday because I 'liked' some SC Athletics page.

Anyway,
quote:I think we should stay ranked all year so we'll extend that record. Also we only have to win 8 games to make this graduating class the senior class with the most wins in USC history for the 3rd year in a row.

ETA- We should also be able to get another player on the All-American team (probably consensus) for the 5th straight year.

You're right.
Plus I'd like to see us have another 11 (or more) win season. Matter of fact, I'd like to see us keep doing that for awhile. I believe we can do it for the foreseeable future, at least the next two years which is far as I can see into the future. ;)
I believe we can have another Top Ten finish.
I believe we can continue our win streaks over Georgia, Tennessee and Clemson.
I believe we can win another bowl - I hope a BCS bowl this time, or first.
We can improve our winning percentage, we can finish in the final Top Ten higher than ever before ... etc., etc., etc.
I believe these are some of the "firsts" Spurrier and the team are going to accomplish this coming season.

I remember when we'd finally get ranked back in the day, and it seemed the very next game we would lose and drop out. Doesn't matter if it was a good team, bad team, or whatever. We lost
