Wow, I can't believe some people are already saying the new system will be worse than the BCS. The major problem w/ the BCS was not having a clear cut top two teams. IMO it is clearly an improvement to go to four teams. A #5 who felt like they should have been #4 will likely have a weaker argument that someone who thought they should be #2. Even for people who favor an eight team playoff this is a step in the right direction.

I don't think this is true because they will be comparing themselves against other teams of that ilk and not only will there be exponentially more of these teams but they will also have more ammunition with which to poke holes in the oppositions resume.
