The talent A&M has on O is VERY good..BUT his schoolyard/ playground/ impromptu stuff is what makes him so valuable when the play breaks down. It took 3-4 game for the OL to figure out how long he could extend plays.
As he gets better at playing within the system, this will lessen.
I agree with Vanilla..the Ags win 7 games TOPS last year w/o him...probably more like 5-6.

Thing is, A&M was much better prepared to do without him last year than we are this year. Showers would have been a good QB, so other than Bama and LSU (and LaTech due to the point explosion they put up), I do think we would have had a good chance in all those games.
Now that Showers has transferred, and with another redshirt freshman looking like our best backup, JFF is even MORE a critical piece than last year.
